State-of-the-art image quality is achieved with meticulous camera technique, a high resolution Tango drum scan, calibrated color corrections, and Lightjet 5000 printing on Fujicolor Crystal Archive color photo paper.  Crystal archive paper touts a permanence of 65+ years before slight color shifts may become noticeable.  Printing services are provided by Calypso Imaging in Santa Cruz, California, to Doug's exacting standards.  Please note that the color fidelity of the images displayed on your computer may not match the final print colors due to monitor color inaccuracies, viewing situation, browser type, color profile discrepancies, etc.  For more color discussion go to Guiding Principals.

Image lead-time will depend on customer interest (i.e. not all gallery images have been drum scanned and printed at this time).  Generally expect one to three weeks before shipping occurs.  CONTACT Doug for lead-time estimations.  The PRINTED IMAGES page shows images that have been drum-scanned and printed; thus, expect shorter lead-times for these images.  For those wanting a more economical option, C-type prints are available for some 35mm images while supply lasts (i.e. no new C-type images are being made) at half the cost listed in the table above--CONTACT Doug for availability.

Recommended print sizes are based on the film format and standard matte sizes.  The recommended sizing will yield a print that appears incredibly sharp at close inspection distances.  This is a conservative approach, and your viewing situation and preferences may differ.  Note: the actual image size is not the same as the print size due to a white border that has been added for print handling.  For all images, due to sizing, cropping, and aspect ratio issues, we recommend receiving the print before matting and framing.

Doug Sprock Photography reserves the right to crop images, resulting in a shortening of the length or width.

The recommended matte size may require trimming to achieve the desired framing.

A signature has been inconspicuously added digitally within each color image, so customers who choose print-only sales, where signed mattes are absent, can have the artist's unique signature displayed on the art work.
